Inspired by the disciplines of ballet, yoga and pilates, the e+l Barre workout incorporates the use of small isometric movements performed to fatigue with deep lengthening stretches to sculpt and strengthen a more elegant and elongated physique. Naturally, each workout is strategically set to inspirational and uplifting music to help you embrace that shake!!

Goal

Our goal at e+l Barre is to elevate and empower our members sense of personal and physical strength with the completion of each session. We want to instill in our studio the core benefits and values fulfilled by living a more balanced and elegant lifestyle.

 

Meet the Owner

Growing up in Roswell, NM, Kathleen began her journey through dance at the early age of 3 years old. Her love and passion for dance, performing, and teaching grew as she studied ballet, tap, jazz, Pilates, and other various dance techniques and exercise regimens. Her education continued throughout college as she studied dance at West Texas A&M University and Texas Tech University where she also performed with the Lubbock Cotton Kings Dance Team.

As life took Kathleen and her family to Dallas, TX, her career took a turn as she began her path in the dental industry. For about 10 years, Kathleen managed, trained, and coached teams instilling the importance of dynamic customer service skills and effective communication thus guiding her into consulting and starting up dental practices in the Dallas Metroplex. Her interests in Business Communications, in turn, lead her into obtaining her BS degree at the University of Phoenix. As Kathleen loved coaching and helping to build successful dental practices, she felt as though her heart was still on the back-burner.

Searching for a way to get back into fitness and ballet, Kathleen stumbled upon what she felt was the perfect workout! “I absolutely feel in love with the Barre workout! It was my escape for an hour and I was amazed by not only how quickly my body transformed, but I felt as if I was going back to my roots!” This Barre workout has helped to achieve the long, lean muscles of that of an aspired dancer by integrating strength training through a compilation of ballet, Pilates, and yoga. This comprehensive total body workout incorporates major muscle groups in such a unique way that it literally reshapes the whole body! This ballet inspired workout not only challenges the body’s strength and endurance, but it provides a fun and upbeat workout increasing one’s overall fitness goals.

A favorite quote of Kathleen’s finally guided her back to her life-long aspiration. “If you can’t figure out your purpose, figure out your passion. For your passion will lead you directly into your purpose.” “I’m incredibly thankful for my ever so supportive family for allowing me to pursue my dreams!” Kathleen couldn’t be more thrilled to share her love and passion for Barre while she embarks in her business journey through e+l, Barre Studio.

 

Meet the Instructors

Holly Beckett

Holly has always had a passion for health and fitness. She began dance and gymnastics at 5 years old. She continued on with cheerleading throughout high school and into college. After graduating college, Holly moved to California where she explored new ways of training her body including: yoga, running, pilates, and cycling. Holly discovered Elegance and Life Barre after her second daughter was born. The e+l Barre workout completely transformed her body. Over the initial four months, the results were absolutely incredible! e+l Barre helped put her post-baby body back together and helped her to feel strong in a completely different way.

Holly is an aerospace engineer… turned baseball wife… turned Mommy and homemaker. You never know where life is going to take you, but she is most grateful for the people she had met along the way, her family, and being able to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Holly could not be more excited to become a part of the e+l Barre studio and share her passion for the Barre workout.

Holly has recently completed her 200 hour yoga certification, through Yoga Alliance, in Therapeutic Adaptive Yoga. We are thrilled to add Holly’s new Restorative Barre, Barre Flow, and Pre-natel Barre to the studio this Fall! ~Reserve your spot today!
